For myself, i love old french (60's nouvelle-vague), italian films (50's neo-realism)and russian cinema (70's and 80's) but right now i think german cinema is very cool. So what's yours (can not vote for your own country) ? |

Posted : 1 year, 9 months ago at Nov 10 12:39 - HK 60's - 80's. Shaw Bros films through the 60's-70's, the 80's Golden Age of HK cinema. There are others countries and times of course, but HK during this period was special. The Thais & Koreans are making some good movies right now and Japan has been making interesting/cool films since forever. |

In Japan you've got the old guards like Miike still surprising you every now and then and newer film makers doing genuinely fun and intersting stuff (Survive Style 5+ and Lily Chou Chou spring to mind). And South Korea just seems unstopable, it even made my favourite film of 06 Welcome to Dongmakgol. |

Posted : 1 year, 7 months ago at Jan 15 16:45 - I love to find any Japanese, Chinese, and South Korean films that I can (while not having to spend a lot, mind). I enjoy the odd French film now and then (such as Amélie and Belleville Rendez-Vous), and also some Spanish/Mexican ones. :) |
